Today's guest, Brian Grimes, founder of 24/7 Cash Flow University, started his career as a financial advisor before he began attacking real estate investing with the same vigor he used to attack basketball. Grimes didn't play for the NBA - but at 6'4" was nationally ranked by the age of 14, and when he was a freshman in high school, he flew to Akron to play a high school junior named LeBron James. It was during this period of his life that he learned life lessons that ultimately led to his success in the real estate space and gave him the ability to create affordable housing where none existed before. His "co-living" renovations in Philadelphia gave many the opportunity to reclaim lost communities in a time when it was very much needed. Brian K. Grimes, Jr. CFP® is an Ivy League educated real estate entrepreneur and coach. Upon graduation from Columbia University in 2011 he embarked on a career in Financial Planning at AXA Advisors before transitioning to high net worth asset management at Bridgewater Advisors. In 2015, Brian launched his own real estate development company in his home town of Philadelphia, and has since gone on to gut renovate 300+ rental properties across the country using the BRRRR strategy. He is raising his sons, Brian III and Tomas, in the Bronx with his wife, Zila Acosta-Grimes.
